Teaks decks are one of the most beautiful features of your boat. When it is time to replace them think about Covella’s Fine Woodworking. We work extra hard to ensure that you get the WOW factor from those passing by. After all, your job may help us sell several jobs down the road.       We go the extra mile and are not concerned with saving a few tubes of glue or a few feet of the quality Burmese teak that we use. If it is the difference between looking incredible or saving a wide board, we go with “incredible”. Our team and our invented, patented, deck laying system is fast and neat. We lay plank by plank as opposed to prefabricated panels. This ensures proper fit and high custom designs with out a single screw (see Process). In most cases we are able to go around the mast and stays and often other hardware that normally would have to come off. We mill our own decking in house and again go the extra mile by milling a glue joint in the bottom, this ensures a good grip. In most cases a Teak deck replacement from tear off to final sanding is about 4 to 6 weeks. The best thing is it is all done in house under the watchful eye of the head craftsman.
